Do you like you nylon lined with shiny PVC, rubberised or unlined, so the inside is the same as the outside? Personally I would prefer shiny PVC lining, but all my current cagoules and overtrousers are a matte rubbery lining.

Peter Storm or Regatta would be my go-to cags if I had any or was able to have some but anything nylon would tempt me.

Regatta I have owned, but never Peter Storm. I once had an unbranded cagoule with a nice shiny rubbery lining, but it died. All too often I find the linings deteriorate, or the nylon loses its shine and stiffness, ending up with a crumpled and dull surface. Often you see cagoules listed on eBay that are way past their prime.

Thanks for that. I have never seen a Henri Lloyd. Did once see a nice Fred Perry in very nice shiny nylon, but had a mesh lining, but they didn’t have it in my size.

Hi. My preference in caggy materials is pvc, vinyl, polyurethane or rubber. Especially shiny and attached hooded. Over the head. Short neck zip, big pocket across chest or slit pockets. So maybe three years ago, ASOS brought out a wonderful hooded cagoule in shiny dark blue vinyl. In the ladies section, but I bought several, and still wear them. Size 16 is very oversized, and fits me fine. Im a 42 chest. They must be popular as I haven't seen any on ebay or vinted yet.
On boxing day, I bet my partner, for a bit of fun, she wouldnt make me wear one of the cagoules inside out, shiny side next to the skin. Did she take me up on it? Oooh yes! A little leather collar and lock on the zipper, sealed me in. The keys were locked in a time safe we have, she didn't tell me for how long. Over it, I wore my thick cable knit hoody cardigan, shiny hood tucked inside. We went for a lovely long walk with the dog down the coast, with another same cagoule covering all. I was as snug as a bug, squeaking vinylly along! A couple of hours later, we got back. There were another 4hrs before the keys would be released, and so thats the way I stayed. I took the cardy off, and replaced it with the othere caggy. Loved it!
I love these senarios. She's promised me more, in return for doing housework. Fair exchange. I wonder whats next. Ive just finished the hoovering. Shes home soon!
