I grew Up in Germany from 1970 to 90s.
I remember having Seen some raincoats in TV shows.
What i definitely can remember is that in french and italian movies they were much more people wearing shiny PVC raincoats.
Although shiny PVC and Vinyl Macs were very popular in Germany in the 70s.
Woolworth, C&A, and many Department Stores had them full of racks, to buy.
In March, each year, when the spring seasons new fashion arrived in the Shops,
I was watching many Ladies and their daughters trying on and buying the new raincoats.
I was turned on to see ladies wearing shiny raincoats.

French films have always been legendary down the decades for giving us loads of gorgeous ladies wearing PVC and plastic macs. I've always loved French Cinema - they know what it's all about!
