Technically you have to get a license for shooting on the underground if you are using professional equipment i.e a bloody big camera or video camera. However, if you are using a small point and shoot camera like I used and you are not causing an obstruction you can generally get away with it without a license.
As with a lot of things in life shooting on the Tube is possible if you dont make a nuisance of yourself, are polite and take notice of any instructions from staff
Gaz, what point and shoot camera takes these quality pictures? The one on the "tube" as you folks on the east side of the pond say, looks like it had a $ 5,000 lens. Very high quality. It seems you also pay attention to plenty of diffused lightning. Very high quality pictures.
