What do you think of the "submerged rainwear" thing?

I love it - it's a turn-on!

It's OK but I can take it or leave it.

Don't like - I prefer to see rainwear that's doing its job, or at least that's not being used as swimwear.

POLL: How wet is too wet?

Post by latexstorm »

I've been seeing a lot of photo series and videos - more than I recall in the past - featuring rainwear that's being worn while swimming or submerged in water. A related and even more popular sub-genre involves boots or waders that get overtopped and fill up with water.

In the big scheme of things, I don't lose sleep over this stuff. But I freely admit that I have zero interest in the whole "submerged rainwear" thing, and when i see these kinds of photosets being featured on a site, I assume it's not worth my time (or money) to investigate.

When I fantasize, or when my wife and I set up scenes to play out, or simply when I go out on a stormy day, the whole point is protection - dressed for the weather, or being dressed for it, or undressing after you get out of it, or seeing what's possible while you STAY fully dressed, or . . . you get the idea.

A woman in waders and rubber raingear, buttoned up in the pouring rain = sexy.
A woman with 24 inch boots wading an 26 inches of water = vaguely annoying and not sexy at all.

I understand arguing over whether this is the "right" way to enjoy rainwear is about as stupid as arguing over whether blue is the "right" favorite color to have. But I'm dying to know whether this submerged-rainwear fetish is as common as the available media makes it seem, or whether the people creating this stuff are basically turning away a relatively large potential audience in order to serve a relatively small one with way too much content.

I'm a huge fan of yellow rubber raingear and "friesennerz" type reversible yellow/blue canvas raingear, and I also love rubber waders. I have and would pay for quality content along those lines, but everything I've seen lately has involved people (mostly women) wearing this stuff while they bob around in a stream somewhere. And I definitely am not paying for that; it's about as sexy as photos of a brick wall (not that there's anything wrong with that if you get off looking at brick walls!).
