In my (considerable) experience not being able to drive is a bigger no-no when it comes to establishing a "relationship" with a woman than liking rubber and PVC.

Many weather presenters have continued to appear in leather skirts over the winter-Laura Tobin and Judith Ralston in particular-but now Carol Kirkwood has retrieved hers from the back of the wardrobe and all's well with the world (well, almost).

The look, sound and feel of the fabrics are all important factors but so too is their impermeability and the confidence to be derived from knowing that,
given efficient fastenings, they will keep out any external precipitation and keep any internal incontinence (whether voluntary or involuntary) in.

Lovely macs which you can easily imagine (fantasise about) being worn as every rainy day wear. Some women's name are more evocative than others. Sandra always does it for me.

Peter and Julia certainly knew what made us (and them) tick. Their fashion shows at the old Mackintosh Society gatherings were out of this world for a (then) young man.
