I too lack confidence to go out in rainwear particularly wellies in an indoor or outdoor setting in my earlier years. I didn't know how the public in general would see me, or say about me "wearing my wellies with the tops turned down" I was shy tbh behind it all at first....

It’s a look I don’t quite understand. I want the wellies high to go puddle jumping and want the wellies stuff enough not to flop around, so don’t see the appeal.

The question though reminded me of the Xtratuf brand sold here in the states. Here is one example of a ladies style that can be folded ...

Anybody here from Rep of Ireland & into the wellies. All replies most welcome.

Anybody still wear the wellies with the tops turned down, rare nowadays !!
