I found, the secret to walking around in public in a shiny PVC mac, is to convince yourself that you just don't care...
And most importantly, do not keep checking to see if people are looking at you.
Just strut around town with confidence and get on with enjoying yourself.

Yes, you should just go out and enjoy your rainwear in public whenever and wherever possible. It really can be very exciting indeed. It's absolutely thrilling, being out in crowds of people, dressed in a shiny PVC mac or whatever your favourite coat is. And a matching hat !

Yes, there's some lovely creaking mac sounds there as well as the crackle of the fire.
It seems its always been the case that, Eastern European people love wearing shiny macs without hesitation and often just for fashion. And still do. Which helps give us, wonderfully eccentric films like this.

I just love the fact that the film ends, with these six gorgeous ladies, looking stunning in their shiny black macs... And they're just sitting around, wearing them indoors. Absolute heaven !

Hi Beth! Sometimes it just depends on the quality of the material and how it's treated and cleaned over a period of time.
I've got some very shiny patent macks that I bought 6 or 7 years ago and they've actually got even shinier as I've cleaned them.
