Just sorting through some old coats to throw out.
Is there anyway to fix the peeling coating on Peter Storm cagoules?
I've got a few with this issue and was wondering if there's a fix before ...

Re: Collecting stuff to burn for our local bonfire
I think Peter Storms will always be a fave. If I knew which bin bag it was in, I'd go save it.

Re: Collecting stuff to burn for our local bonfire
Sorry, but you should not be burning any of that stuff. The chemicals released by burning plastics, like old canoes, are extremely toxic and could make people very ill. I hope you declined the “all sorts of stuff to burn” that wasn’t wood. Nice that you saved some rainwear.

Re: Collecting stuff to burn for our local bonfire
I remember those Dannimac coats! My god parents had them in the early 80s. I got to wear them a handful of times. I found my own in a junble sale mid 80's. It was in great condition and still had the removable hood with it. I hated the cord collar that kept your neck wet and cold and the very thin ...

Re: Collecting stuff to burn for our local bonfire
What grest finds. Shame about the Dannimac which is not for me but love the Peter Storm green cagoule.
Also the fur hooded green snorkel parka. Love this. One that I'm looking to find myself at minute but in navy blue.
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Yes I love snorkels too and have quite a few in all ...

Collecting stuff to burn for our local bonfire
I went out in the van with some of the local youngsters to collect firewood for the local bonfire. They knocked on doors and were given all sorts of rubbish to burn. One old timer asked if we could burn a couple of old canoes, some life jackets and waterproofs. I think he had a thing for the colour ...

Re: 80's police waterproofs
I have a long heavy nylon waterproof police mackintosh that I know dates back to at least the 1970s as the friend who had it before me owned it then and indeed earlier. It has epaulette loops to hold police numerals. I often wear it in heavy rain and it is totally waterproof. Sorry I dont have the ...

Re: Over the head puffer wanted.....
My gf had one, I think it was made by French Connection. It wasn't a very shiny nylon but it was down filled. The only thing I didn't like was the fleece lined hood, but other than that it was nylon inside and out. I would borrow it on occasion. She wore it oversized and she looked hot in it. It had ...
Re: Skirts
I found a lovely Moncler down filled skirt and matching long down coat on the landfill site. They're old, probably from around mid 2000's. The skirt is a long pencil skirt with a long slit up the back and and the nylon of both is not shiny like the newer stuff. Although the zips and press studs ...

I dug this out of the dirt near the landfill site. I thought it was a women's coat but it's actually labelled Zara Man. It's size medium but it's absolutely huge and very shiny. Still in very good condition and perfectly wearable. It's amazing ...
