I have a memory I can’t shake or find for that matter. Must have been the early eighties and I’m not saying it was Top of the Pops, but dancers like Pans People dancing to a David Bowie track in see through raincoats. Never been able to find it.

What a lovely mac. Yes, you could buy those macs in Van Allan, C&A, Debenhams, Primark and lots of other shops during the late 1970s/early 1980s. Sadly they never returned to the high street after that. Thank you Rothbhoy.

1983, ah probably the peak year for those lovely long plastic macs, they were everywhere and still a fashion item. Every clothes shop stocked them in a variety of colours. C&A had one of the best selections but I got a lovely green one at Peacocks, quite heavy plastic but super smooth and soft ...

The blue plastic mac is fantastic !!!! However, those thin, flimsy disposable excuses for a mac does nothing for me. I'm a fussy sod !!!!
