Hello everyone.
its been a long time, however I have been introduced to hoods, well plastic coats worn back to front with the hood pulled tight..
Oh its amazing... I do need eye holes and a mouth hole but its great.
The reason i have come on is for advice and help with this.. Any ideas and help would be greatly received.
I am worried that it could be dangerous. Is it??

Hoods for me are the correct way round but understand each to there own. I would say on your own yes it's dangerous as you could suffocate but other people love that excitement. Breath play for me is other different ways.

Hi debs, wearing a hood over your face is always dangerous if you do it on your own, suffocation can happen really fast, when you do this it is always best done with someone else present. Wearing a hood that has holes should be a bit safer. What style of hoods are you using are they on coats or just a hood by itself.

They are on coats. hunter macs..
I've not ventured to a latex hood yet.
Perhaps I wont now as I live on my own.

You could try and hood from pvc u like, they have a few different ones, i have one of there hoods which is tight around the neck with a back zip and a breather hole in the front, this allows you to still breathe or you can block it off if you want.

Yes very dangerous playing on your own with hoods and plastic mac's. Suffocation can be fun playing. But really can happen if you can't untie the strings fast enough.
Love plastic coats ect and have came very close to suffocating myself many times growing up and playing alone.
Play safe .

In my view the best thing to do to get that feeling of the fabric on your face is to make some eyelets in the back of the hood. perhaps only 1 to allow some air to get in. You can then do them up as tight as you like and you will not suffocate. I have nearly had major problems myself after doing up the draw cords and them locking when I tried to undo. I ended up biting a small hole in the hood which allowed me to breath again. That was very scary.
