old shiny rukka raincoats, lose shinyness, get stiff and smell pvc

many of my old shiny rukka raincoats over time lose their shinyness, get stiff and smell alot of pvc smell more and more.
anyone else been thru this? knows why? can i stop it? can i fix the raincoats that has this happen?

There's nothing wrong with the smell of pvc

I have only two of these in blue and red (and a third one in green which I'm not 100% sure it is a Rukka but looks the same, it has been shortened a bit) - no probs at all.

It hasn't been kept in direct sunlight has it?

its only been used inside my house
