I live in the middle of the city, so I don't dare to wear any rainwear at all. Even if the weather is appropriate, and my rainwear colorless/generic. I always wanted to have a walk in rubber boots, but I'm too shy. It's much easier for women, it's completely acceptable for them, to wear whatever they want, and nobody thinks they are weird.

There was a time when I felt the same as you Fluffyfurry, but I have lost most of my inhibitions about wearing shiny rainwear in public. As a first step try going to a place some distance away on a rainy day and wear it out. I think you will be surprised to find that few people will even notice what you are wearing.

Hi. Yes it can be, and has for me in the past, been a little awkward out in public in my wellingtons and rainwear, but it's definitely something that can be overcome. I wear mine everywhere - not just in wet weather, but against the cold and I am horsey so in my gear to muck out. Wet and muddy work. But I also wear black waterproof trousers.- Regatta, Highland Tempest and Karrimor most days, like tracksuit trousers. They look great with trainers, dealer boots etc. Done this for years and love the swish sound everyday. Sometimes camo waterproof trousers too. And I often wear waterproof trousers under Peter Storm, North Face walking trousers for work, and sometimes jeans. Love knowing that I'm protected in my waterproofs. I wear my gear everywhere. I do get some mocking and questions, and always have, and they have been awkward but it's also quite horny. I say I have always worn them, their practical, I like them - and it's raining, or been so, stupid!! It's a fetish I love, and it's been with me since very young boy, and some people have worked it out. Absolutely need my wellingtons and waterproofs. Jxx
