Apparently Hunters last approx 6 months then crack and leak!
£100 plus for 6 months that is not economic to my mind.

I quite agree with what has been said above, my own experience of the 'fashion' hunters bear this out and my experience dates back to before they were made abroad. On the other hand I have had many years of use from my Argyll's and similar marques. Just recently I have bought a pair of Peter Storm wellies for around twenty pounds and so far, I have found them most comfortable and satisfactory both in use and manufacture.

Yes I agree. Sourcing older Made In Scotland Hunters from ebay is much better than paying for the new Chinese-made ones - even if it does take a little time to find a pair. I have bought a couple of pairs of the Hunter Bulls style wellingtons, and they cracked on the toe area within 9 months, requiring Stormsure glue attention - a very necessary bit of kit for us wellingtons people!!

I did also get some of the Bullseye Hood re-brand recently. And they were great apart from the soles and heals wearing out far too quickly. Had a couple of pairs rehealed, cos I love them, but generally very disappointing. Heavy wear, but even so. They are, however, trying to sort this problem out.
