Hi Frogmac, I would say we are in the right country but at the wrong time. Blackpool in the 1950's was a great place to be.

Hi Taffmac, I wouldn't be surprised at Blackpool in the 1950s. Unfortunately i didn't move here (Blackpool) until 1971, (and i was only an unaware schoolboy until 1956)

Skegness was the same in the 1960's

I suspect you will find just about any seaside town in summer in the 50s/60s would be much the same on a wet day
