Important Note about rubber gloves

Post by johnverno38 »

Today I was filling the car with fuel, and observing others.

People wearing rubber gloves to touch the fuel pumps, credit card keypads and such, then open their car door and continue to get in and touch everything inside the car with the gloves on!

TAKE YOUR GLOVES OFF BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR CAR OR GETTING IN!

The point of wearing gloves is to keep your hands clean, so touching your car door handles, keys, steering wheel, with possibly contaminated gloves still on, makes wearing them pointless, asst some point, you will touch your keys, car door handle... with no gloves on, possibly assuming they are clean.

Rubber gloves and petrol/oil don't mix at all well in any case, regardless of any health hazards. You need Nitrile or plastic gloves for use on oil and petrol.
