plasphil wrote: December 2nd, 2018, 10:55 am Some of you may remember there used to be a site with a very comprehensive listing of hundreds of films with rainwear scenes. Sadly this disappeared three or four years ago, is the database still out there somewhere?

I sort of agree with Rainwearseeker but also Ray. I am grateful that the films are posted but personally when I post any videos of length I always mention the scene time and try to say something about it.

Phil
I appreciate that Phil but the most important thing in your statement is "when I post any videos" some of the people on here do absolutely nothing and then moan when others dont hand stuff to them on a plate

Why doesn't Rainwearseeker look at the films and add the timings to help others rather than just whine about it and even have the gall to call it impolite

I understand its a world of givers and takers but when those that give nothing then complain it really burns my bush

Thanks for the positive postings and don't burn your bush :D

Complaining does get you nothing, so I would like to ask
the forum members would you like to see more movie links?

I would love to see modern movies with raincoats. There's a bunch out there but I don't know how to post pics. One of the more memorable clips is from The Craft where Nancy wore that shiny black raincoat in more than one scene.

I'd forgotten about the Vinylrain site so thanks to Rothbhoy. Sadly it's another site that does not seem to have been updated for some while but it's good that it's still there.

Regenhoedje, thank you so much for posting these lists. I really love seeing plastic rainwear in movies, especially older movies. There are quite a few movies listed which I had not seen before. One of the movies that is new to me was "Kiss Me Stupid". As well as the rainwear, I really enjoyed the scene with the lady in the dentist's chair covered from the neck down in that lovely long plastic bib; one of my other fantasies involving plastic. I was also surprised to see plastic rainwear in the films made in the 1930's as I didn't realise they were around that early.

Thanks again. When I have more time, I will add some more that may be of interest such as "Red Line 3000" which has a very nice see-through plastic raincoat in one scene towards the end of the film.

The movie links that I have posted makes out just a small percentage of my list with film titles, the majority I could not find on YouTube.
Red Line 7000 has some good plastic rainwear scenes and I have it on DVD but could not find it online.
