Hi-De-Hi

Post by regenhoedje »

Another episode from the British comedy serie "Hi-De-Hi" Together Again.
Peggy wears a translucent plastic raincoat and a rain bonnet for quite a long time.
On the Internet I found the following 2 links were you can download that episode:

http://rapidshare.com/files/238246281/H ... .part1.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/238233562/H ... .part2.rar

Here is some information about RAR files:

Thanks for sharing this one!! I like the fully closed coat with the colour spotted bonnet.
Did you crawl through all episodes? :)

Glad you liked it, no I did not crawl through all the episodes I still can remember alot of these from the 1980's.
Like the one I have posted some time ago: http://rainwear.za.net/forum/read.php?1 ... 2#msg-7872 which I think has one of the best plastic rainwear scenes in it for a TV serie or movie.
If I remember correctly maybe there are one or two more "Hi-De-Hi" episodes with plastic rainwear but I don't think the scenes are very long.

Oh yes, I watched the other episode on your hint and wow, it´s great ideed! Altough I liked the silver raincoat more than the other ones...
Do you remember "Klimbim" in the 70is? There was an episode with Ingeborg Halstein in a shiny yellow sailor dress and motorcycle glasses that impressed me a lot! Could be found on serienjunkies.org.

Hi again

Over the last couple of days I have tried to find a way of downloading those clips but been unsuccessful, The help desk girl at the last internet xafe I went to said "as far as I am concerned the A in RAR stands for 'avoid''. The whole process seems very complicated and full of fine print, and apparently RAR files are about as unhealthy as you can get.

Maybe Paul or somebody else 'in the trade' has a different experience and more knowledge but for me, if we can't get the footage onto youtube my only option might be to buy the hard copy DVD like I eventually did with 'The Fugitive'. Anybody have any further advice?

Cheers
BJ

RAR files are not unhealthy I opened a lot of these and never had a problem, did you download WinRAR: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar380.exe
After you have dowloaded the RAR files from Rapidshare (free user) which needs some time and trying, follow the next instructions:

After you install WinRAR, you should notice that the icon for your RAR file changes to a little stack of 3 books (Purple, Blue, and Green). You can either double click on the file, and open it with WinRAR...Or you can right click on it, and select either "Extract Here" or "Extract to <your file>". If you open it with WinRAR, all you have to do from there is double click your file's icon, and WinRAR will automatically extract or unzip it for you, and if it's a movie file like you said, it should start playing in your media player right away. Piece of cake. If you right clicked your RAR file and chose to extract it without opening WinRAR, you will have to open your media player and then choose to play your file.

Hope this helps.
