Oh what a wonderful find!BobbyValore wrote: ↑September 29th, 2020, 3:04 am Came across 2 pictures recently on Pinterest from Niagara waterfalls showing people wearing the black rainwear:
First people coming close to the waterfall for a better look of nature's wonder:

And a picture from inside a building, possibly waiting to go on an elevator or a place to return the rainwear after use:

'Niagara' (1953) - now in high definition. Some very nice scenes of shiny yellow and black rubber macs in the film.

Thank you for posting the HD movie of Niagara, the shiny yellow and black rubber raincoats look fantastic! I have been looking for years for it as the movie is not viewable on major streaming services such as Netflix. Speaking of Niagara falls, I have found a few archive videos on YouTube containing yellow raincoats

i think those raincoats are made of rubber, not pvc. what does bother me though is when pvc raincoats are mislabeled as rubber.

Nice one Gordo - thanks a lot! Pity there aren't scenes of peeps in the famous YELLOW ones. Nice footage nevertheless!Gordo wrote: ↑October 3rd, 2020, 9:24 pm Here's another good Niagara Falls rubber raincoats video.

Yes, it's too bad there aren't yellow raincoats in the video.

Indeed Gordo! If you find any clips or pics from the times when ladies wore those lovely yellow rubber raincoats I'd love to see them!Gordo wrote: ↑October 4th, 2020, 9:13 pmThanks!rothbhoy wrote: ↑October 4th, 2020, 4:38 pmNice one Gordo - thanks a lot! We are now a couple of months further and I saw this recent article:
http://rainwearpassion.com/raincoats/ka ... ra-rubber/
The text mentions "a rainwear related forum" and in the sources there is a link to rainwearcentral, so I assume the inspiration came from this very thread.
