There's also good mud along from Lyme Regis, and as girlinwellies notes, "fossil hunting" is a perfectly decent explanation for what you are doing there.

These all sound like epic locations, especially the ones you are talking about Katie! Any suggestions for dinner further over towards Eastbourne?

Some lovely slippy mud near frampton on severn and frethern on the banks of the severn and quite secluded for those who don’t want to be seen :)

The Severn is not close to the south east lol, although it sounds perfect and exactly what I'm looking for, I need to study done maps I think.
