Stutterheim Opal Raincoat

Post by Rubbersocks1999 »

For the third season, Stutterheim team up with Italian luxury brand Marni – this time on two bold men’s raincoat styles.

The BIG problem has to be the £670 price tag.
I find so hard to believe the price is higher than Weathervain for a proper Rubber Mac.
There is a lot of money to be made in vinyl rainwear.

Well, there's money in the branding, to be sure

Yes there is. I looked at an Opal jacket 2 years ago at £200.
I just could not bring myself to buy it.
No doubt when they have a sale it will drop down to £400.

Oh the irony! You wait ages for a "mainstream" mac with a decent length and then, when one does come along, albeit at a virtually prohibitive price, it's too long. Or maybe it's in our nature never to be quite satisfied.

There is a shorter version which may be more what you are looking for & it is cheaper - although not much . I am seriously tempted but at around $1000 , I think I will wait & see what the sales eventually do to the price . ! I have the Stockholm Opal ( bought in one of their sales ) & that is great & actually quite heavy , but this one looks even heavier .
