Rainwear in hot weather

Hi all my issue is this I want to wear my waterproof jacket day in day out but sun out and around 20 degrees so will get looked at lol anyone else have same problem and who’s into waterproof jackets and trousers nylon and pvc coating inside .... thanks.

it is not a good idea to wear pvc in the sun because the light can damage it.

By that argument, rainwearseeker, you could never enjoy an ice cream or cold beer in hot weather, even though you can always buy another . . ;)

have to admit i find it rather odd why anyone would want to wear pvc rainwear in 20 degree heat, but each to their own

but isn't it unsafe to wear in the hot weather?

Wore my PVC bib n brace to wash the car yesterday ; commando of course
Hosepipe & bucket, car all wet
Have to admit it felt real nice , sweating inside the B&B , sun on my exposed upper parts
Nice way to spend an hour or so

In the seventies and early eighties shiny vinyl raincoats we're very fashionable and the ladies did of course not only wear them on rainy days. You could also see them on warm summer days. 8-) 8-) 8-)

But one has to be aware that rainwear can suffer from sweat and sunlight. But that is of course OK. Some of us like those items to suffer once in a while. :twisted:

We have some yellow Helly Hansen rainpants that have been cut to knee length with an elastic seam down below. Worn underneath jeans or jogpants without any other underwear they make great perspiration pants. Maybe it is a good idea to wear a pair tomorrow. But be aware that they don't live very long that way - but still longer than our p-pants.
