Burberry pvc mac

Post by spitfire617 »

I know this has been discussed before.

How can they justify the price of this raincoat when PVC-U-LIKE manufacture near enough the same design for a fifteenth of the price it is being
priced at?
(Yes I know all about name etc!)

Agree with all these sentiments but it's still gorgeous and, given its length, would function better than a lot of the macs around now.

It might be a little pricey, but Barbour makes quality clothing. I'm a big fan of their wax jackets.

Little pricey???
£1300 for a plastic mac?
Material about £10 and about an hours labour?
£40 max cost!
If made in the U.K

Barbour is great, and not nearly as expensive as Burberry...a much better buy.

That being said, I REALLY wish I could afford that blue laminated cotton trench, or even the nova check one, to go with my umbrella & wellies. Seriously considering spending my entire bonus this year on one of them, if they still have my size available come April.

Hi Jolly people.
I tried this coat on in the burberry store in Edinburgh. It was a pink one. I must admite it was gorgerous, and top quality.

Sadly for me I do not have the cash to buy one. But the staff dont know that and I have been in a few times trying it on, hehe. Naughty me.
One thing I have against my lovely friends at pvc-u- :D like are the belts that are on your rainwear. Sadly a slice/strip of pvc around my waist as a belt is not class. Me thinks. xx

Thats an interesting thought Debs maybe PUL will take it on board

I know I lost a lot of the belts on various shoots, some blew away and I couldnt chase after them and I think some may have dropped to the ground unnoticed

So although something more substantial would be more costly it would not only be more please to look at it might be more practical too
