Does anyone else remember these coats?

When I was coming of age in the 60's in NY, a girl who was in my class came to school one day wearing a knee length, fairly heavy white PVC coat with red trim. I think the collar and cuffs were red, as well as a top stitched shoulder strap and large purse like pocket. I remember looking at it in the cloakroom, and I think it was made by a company called Fox Run, It had a lot of buttons, single breasted, and was loud, squeaky, and I was aroused just by seeing her in it. It wasn't long before I saw other women of all ages wearing the same coat in white-red, blue-red, and brown-tan color combo's. I haven't seen anything like this in decades, curious if anyone else remembers it? Thanks!
