Re: New Members

Hi I heard from the grape vine Suzie moved over to Spain when she closed down her pvc website. Mind you that was some time ago now. I do miss her lovely pictures of her modelling raincoats and rainbonnets. You are correct. I met her quite by chance quite a few years ago while delivering to one of m...

Re: plastic panties ... wearing of ...

Reaching the age of the occasional leak/dribble has made me wonder whether one would be permitted to wear proper waterproof pants (rubber or plastic) if one had to go into some sort of care home-or would it have to be some modern form of disposable, padded protection?

Re: Weather sponsor

That’s the one! Thanks PVCDreams, much appreciated! I’ve always got a bit turned on by weather presenters to be honest, it’s the link between weather and rainwear I guess… I have several fantasises involving them. My favourites: Helen Willetts - dark blue Peter storm, white zips, matching trousers ...

Re: Black PVC and Oilskins

Great to hear your experiences and fondness of oilskins. I’ve been very fortunate to be able to snag a retro Yarmouth oilskin coat and sou’wester off of eBay. The slightest bit of movement causes an orchestra of creaking and squeaking. I would love to own a yellow one someday but I’m at the mercy o...

Re: Black PVC and Oilskins

At university in the 1960's, where it was wall to wall PVC, I went out with a girl in the archaeology department who owned, for practical reasons, an 3/4 length black oilskin jacket. As it was often pretty wet in Devon she used to wear it as a casual jacket over her thick jumper. It looked good on h...

Re: Being caned at school

I only had the slipper (plimsoll) at school. Several of my friends were caned and they had a sort of status afterwards. I often wondered what it would be like to have had the cane It is awful, the pain is hideously bad and depending it can be painful for a good few days after. Whereas a good slippe...

Combination of "old money", countryside and horses perhaps.

Funerals.

Attended the funeral of an old friend, in thick drizzle, on Wednesday and was struck by the fact that while, as is usual on these occasions, there was a coterie of young/youngish women dressed in black, unusually there was not a black pvc/pu mac or a black leather skirt to be seen. Made up for it ye...

Re: Why is wearing rainwear often considered a perversion?

"I think others see PVC rainwear as a perversion as prostitutes and dommes, mistresses used to wear PVC raincoats and other PVC garments years ago and their outdated thoughts have stuck right up to the present day."

I rather think that many still do-and make a decent living out of it.

The recent return of Bethany Platt to the Street has so far seen her wearing a shiny black PVC micro skirt (which didn't stay on for long) and some shiny black trousers. Hope there's more to come.
