Mine must have started when I saw fellow classmates at school wear the PVC jelly jackets, which came in glass clear, glass clear blue, glass clear red and glass clear green. These jelly jackets were quite different from the usual cottons, polyesters and nylons.

From someone I personally know, I have actually never worn a raincoat. Once, I could have tried on the yellow raincoat of the girl I was in love with at the time. Her brother took the coat with him for me on a bike ride in case it started to rain. I was too stubborn back then to try it on.
